Town and the environs

Cornudella de Montsant village is north-oriental located in the Priorat region between Montsant Mountain and Prades Mountains.

Montsant Mountain, nowdays Natural Park, has a great beauty and a natural interesting, places very good preservated, indicated to practice walks and climbing.

At the bottom of the Montsant mountain is placed the -Ermita de Sant Joan del Codolar- (a small church). You can enjoy as well in the Siurana Reservoir where is possible to practice nautic sports.

Attached to Cornudella are the small villages of Siurana and Albarca.

Albarca, small village belonging to the council of Cornudella. It is an ideal starting point for walking trips to Montsant.
Albarca

Located at the bottom of the Montsant Mountains it's a place to start interesting walking trips, like the walking up to the "Ermita of Santa Maria", located below the "Roca Corbatera" the highest point of Montsant Mountains (1166 m).
Siurana

You can reach it trough a smallroad.It's 9 kms. from Cornudella. Siurana is placed above its reservoir over the top of legendary and impressive cliffs, internationally known among climbers around the world.
Siurana, with Montsant at the end, is an essential part of the natural and historical heritage of this district. Nowadays, all this area is recognized worldwide for its climbing paths.
